This time around, saxophonist Davis Jurka, bassist Valters Sprudzs, keyboardist Ritvars Garoza, and drummer Andris Buikis show even deeper and more sophisticated compositional, recording and post-production skills to offer a very adventurous musical journey. LUPA is the Latvian answer to such modern jazz bands as THE COMET IS COMING, BABADNOTGOOD, ELEPHANT9, or Bugge Wesseltoft’s New Conception of Jazz. However as references, one can hear DREAM THEATER, early MIKE OLDFIELD and even Latvian / Soviet classic space disco band ZODIAC.
